What happens when the animals are both in front of and behind the lens? Natural World finds out, handing the cameras over to the chimps. This documentary attempts to do what no other has done before, and hand over the cameras to the animals. There is no doubt in the minds of the experts that chimps could learn to use cameras and recognise what they film on monitors, but how far will they go? Chimp TV follows the work of the researchers as they design the cameras and get the chimps used to using them, alongside the footage filmed by the chimps. Identifying the sequences and individuals that appear to hold the most interest for the chimps behind the camera, Natural World gains a remarkable insight into the way these chimps see their world.
