The world's most famous chimpanzees are Jane Goodall's study group at Gombe, Tanzania. No other animals have been studied so intensively and over such a long period of time. Biologist and film-maker Bill Wallauer is readily accepted by the community as an 'honorary chimp' and they are completely unperturbed by his fly-on-the-forest-wall technique to film them.
